Man by nature has many enemies, and he is constantly trying to overcome them, they may be nature, wild animals, fellow human beings, situations, etc. Fortunately, all these may be conquered using one strategy or the other.

But there is an enemy the Bible calls the last enemy.  
“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” 1 Corinthians 15:26. 
This last enemy is a leveler, it is no respecter of persons, it has dealt with kings of the earth, lords, chiefs, serfs, the good men, evil men and even the innocent men.

Death has two parts – physical and spiritual. Everyone is indebted to the physical death which is not negotiable but the Spiritual Death is the most terrible one, it's a matter of choice. It is a disaster when a man dies the spiritual death, he would have been a wasted investment before His maker.

Death has a sting which is sin, (1 Cor. 15:56) and if anyone can conquer sin, he has overpowered death. Unfortunately, all have sinned by Adamic nature and there is a perpetual grip of death over everyone. For sin to die, one has to die and shed a sinless blood. The only solution to this enemy is a sinless death. For this reason, Jesus had to come to take the medicine on the cross to save man from this last enemy and he said, “It is finished”.
“Anyone who trusts in Him (Jesus) is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person's failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.” John 3:18 (MSG-NT).
 It is Jesus who can only deliver you from this enemy. Don't gamble with your life after death.
“And all who trust him--God's Son--to save them have eternal life; those who don't believe and obey him shall never see heaven, but the wrath of God remains upon them." John 3:36 (TLB).
Allow Jesus into your heart this day so that your soul will not drift into eternal destruction which is the second death.

If you are ready to escape this last enemy, say this prayer with a broken heart.
LORD JESUS, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU INDEED CAME TO DIE FOR MY SINS. COME INTO MY HEART THIS DAY, CLEANSE ME WITH YOUR BLOOD. WRITE MY NAME INTO THE BOOK OF LIFE. I PROMISE NOT TO GO BACK TO SIN ANYMORE, UPHOLD ME WITH YOUR RIGHT HAND OF RIGHTEOUSNESS TILL THE END IN JESUS NAME. AMEN
