4 Bible Reasons Not To Use Put On Earrings And Jewelries

Women generally are fashion-oriented folks. Women love to always be on top of the world. They love flashy things and enjoyment. This was the reason why the devil could achieve his aim in making man to fall through Eve. Eve loved the advertisements the devil presented to her. That same desire still troubles most women today.

Part of their instruments in beautifying themselves is earrings and jewelries. Many love it big while many love it moderate. Some Christians have delusions and are of the notion that the big ones are the sinful ones while the tiny ones are absolutely not.

Let’s us take a look at 4 Biblical Reasons why you should not to use / put on earrings and jewelries.

1. It was never the dress mode of the Hebrews.

Then God said to Jacob, "Arise, go up to Bethel and dwell there; and make an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you fled from the face of Esau your brother."  And Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, "Put away the foreign gods that are among you, purify yourselves, and change your garments.  Then let us arise and go up to Bethel; and I will make an altar there to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and has been with me in the way which I have gone." So they gave Jacob all the foreign gods which were in their hands, and the earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the terebinth tree which was by Shechem.  And they journeyed, and the terror of God was upon the cities that were all around them, and they did not pursue the sons of Jacob. Genesis 35:1-5 (NKJV).
Jacob’s sons had just taken vengeance of their sister through violent temper. Jacob was sad about this; he knew something had gone wrong spiritually with him, which allowed those occurrences. He quickly realized his source of strength years ago and decided to make reconciliation with his God. The first phase of sanctification Israel (Jacob) embarked on was to tell his family members to put off the strange gods among them which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem. Genesis 35:4. Why did Jacob tell them to put it off? It’s because it was never part of their mode of dressing. He knew those things were the source of their woes spiritually. The bible says “Then Jacob and his sons left that place. The people in the surrounding cities wanted to follow and kill them, but God filled them with such great fear that they did not go after them." Genesis 35:5 (ETRV)” Why did God filled the cities with great fear? It’s because they had no attachment to foreign gods anymore. Using your earrings can prevent God from taking some protective and deliverance actions in your life. It can be the source of some unquestionable problems. There are some deliverance sessions that cannot be successful until these attachments (earrings and jewelries) are removed. Until Jacob removed the strange gods, the presence of God did not abide with them.

2. It was banned by God until further notice.

Though God was the one who allowed the Israelites to ask for the possessions of the Egyptians including their gold and earrings, this did not last until the time God banned it. That was when they made a golden calf with their earrings and gold as god in the wilderness (Exodus 32). The anger of God was so serious on them that God couldn’t think of what the others nations might say. However, Moses pleaded with God on their behalf; after Moses arguments with God,
“the LORD said to Moses, "Tell the Israelites, 'You are a stubborn people. I might destroy you even if I travel with you only a short time. So take off all your jewelry while I decide what to do with you.'" So the Israelites stopped wearing their jewelry at Mount Horeb.” Exodus 33:5-6 (ETRV).
Since that time, God did not say anything concerning it again. Their first phase of sanctification was to first of all remove everything before God can move along with them again. Using your earring is same as worshiping an idol. And it is a terrible thing to serve the Almighty along with an idol. Many will be surprised on the day of Judgment when they are told that they are idolaters just before of their jewelries.

3. Ear piercing is rooted in slavery.

"But one of your slaves might say to you, 'I will not leave you.' He might say this because he loves you and your family and because he has a good life with you. Make this servant put his ear against your door and use a sharp tool to make a hole in his ear. This will show that he is your slave forever. You must do this even to the women slaves who want to stay with you. Deuteronomy 15:16-17 (ETRV).
Piercing your ears means you have sold yourself into slavery. Many of the earrings and jewelries are attached with demons, therefore some demons are holding some so called Christians as hostages; that is the reason some do not have consistent spiritual growth.

4. It was never the original plan of God to pierce the ears.

If it deemed fit to God to attached earrings as a beauty add-on, God would have perforated our ears from birth. Perforating your ears is perversion. The only perversion (alteration) permitted in the Bible is Circumcision. Many do say that they put it on to recognize the female folks. Was it written in the Bible that the day God made Eve, He mistaken her for Adam? Adam himself did not perforate his wife’s ear to make her different from himself. The difference is always clear. Perforating your ear and put rings on it means you are telling God that he made a terrible mistake and omission when beautifying you. And you will have to answer that question on the Day of Judgment.
People knew God, but they did not honor him as God, and they did not thank him. Their ideas were all useless. There was not one good thought left in their foolish minds. They said they were wise, but they became fools. Instead of honoring the divine greatness of God, who lives forever, they traded it for the worship of idols—things made to look like humans, who get sick and die, or like birds, animals, and snakes. People wanted only to do evil. So God left them and let them go their sinful way. And so they became completely immoral and used their bodies in shameful ways with each other. They traded the truth of God for a lie. They bowed down and worshiped the things God made instead of worshiping the God who made those things. He is the one who should be praised forever. Amen. Romans 1:21-25 (ETRV)

Many Christians will still argue and justify themselves that there are some great women of God who put these things on, and that did not obstruct the anointing and power of God in their lives and ministries. Yes, but can you verify their eternal destinations? The bible says “People wanted only to do evil. So God left them and let them go their sinful way…” The truth is jewelries may not stop the power of God moving in the lives of many people, but they won’t have eternal rest in heaven.

If you are really in pursuit of heaven and not to only enjoy your life here on earth; to be on a safer side, why not put off your earrings and jewelries while you are on earth, and if you were told in heaven that you can use it, you won’t have missed much; hence you can start using them for eternity. However, if you use them on earth, only for you to get to heaven and heaven declared it unclean, know for sure that you will spend the rest of your life in hell with eternal regret.
Nothing unclean will ever enter the city. No one who does shameful things or tells lies will ever enter the city. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life will enter the city. Revelation 21:27 (ETRV)
